Protein is made up of hundreds/thousands of smaller units called amino acid, which are attached to one another in long chains. There are 20 different types of amino acids that can be combined to make a protein.
Protein can be found in almost every type of food. The best Type of natural protein are found in leaner meats e.g Turkey, Chicken, fish. They can also be found in non meat products e.g eggs, milk. For people who eat non animal products they can be found in Tofu, Chickpeas and so many more.
It is so easy to get protein your diet and it is such an important factor. Protein is needed in everybody's diet weather they train or not. It is something that aids towards muscle development and growth, making it essential.
it is recommended that most people should have 1g of protein per pound of body weight, this is something not many people do which can impact there goals, and which in children it can effect there muscle growth. in older adults not having enough protein will effect muscle maintenance.
