The only way to lose weight
Let’s talk about weight loss.
How many of you have tried fad diets? E.g slimming teas, slimming clubs, the list goes on…
Let’s cut the crap, they don’t work, they never have and they never will.
Yes you might notice a difference at first, but it’s not maintainable and they certainly aren’t healthy. The only way to lose fat/weight is a calorie deficit.
That doesn’t mean restricting your body from the food you enjoy. It means eating whatever you like… as long as you’re in a calorie deficit. It’s as simple as that!
Whether you exercise or not, as long as you’re in a calorie deficit of around 200-500 cals below your maintenance, you will lose fat.
Weight loss is never simple. It goes up and down and there’s never a quick fix. Like all good things in life, it’s a process that takes time. So trust the process, and as long as you stick with it, you will get there.
A calorie deficit isn’t forever either. Every now and again your body will need a re-feed. That means taking your calories back up to maintenance for around a week and giving your body the fuel it needs to reach your goal. Never feel guilty for having a re-feed and a rest. We are human, not robots, and we were never made to be perfect!
From personal experience… This time last year I was 78.4kg (12st 3lbs). This morning I weighed in at 63kg (9st 12lbs). When I say weight fluctuates, believe me, it really does! Connect with me on Instagram @jade_louise_fitness to follow my progress.
